MARTECH SERVICES FOR THE MIO BRAND
We have been working with MiTAC, the proprietor of the acclaimed Mio brand specializing in dashboard cameras and car and bicycle navigation systems, since our inception in 2014. Annually, a significant initiative we embark on is a Cashback promotion.
The fundamental premise of the Cashback promotion is that, upon inputting the proof of purchase for the eligible Mio product into the system, customers are entitled to a partial refund for their purchase. Each edition of this promotion attracts participation from several thousand consumers. The entire organizational aspect demands a rigorous emphasis on security, safeguarding of promotion participants' data, and the protection of our client against potential fraud.

UPGRADING OUTDATED PHP-BASED CMS TO UMBRACO
Originally, the content management system that supported the popular Mio Cashback Promotion relied on custom PHP technology. This year, a substantial transformation took place.
Our objective was to bolster data security for website users and elevate the overall experience for customers, developers, and the marketing team. This entailed a comprehensive revamp of both the front and back end, utilizing Umbraco DXP, and underscored our commitment to providing a smooth and effective platform for our promotional activities.
The new Umbraco-based system facilitates safer promotional purchase registration, which involves sensitive data such as bank account numbers. With robust verification mechanisms in place, it ensures the security of the database against potential attacks. Furthermore, the system optimizes data management, money transfers, and report generation, enhancing efficiency for those overseeing promotional efforts.
Every iteration of the Mio Cashback promotion garners the participation of around 2,000 or more individuals. While this might not initially strike as a substantial figure, it's crucial to grasp that meticulous verification is required for each application, and every participant anticipates a specific money amount to be transferred to them. The seamless optimization of the entire application system is imperative for marketers overseeing the promotion, ensuring timely and efficient fund transfers.
The Umbraco solution we've put forward is designed not just to streamline promotion management but also to notably reduce the time required to implement changes to the website in subsequent editions. Alongside refreshing the layout, our backend developers have introduced a new module featuring a secure registration form for customers, a notification handling panel, and a module for online transfers dedicated to Mio's promoters. Additionally, we've configured a straightforward mailing system, enhancing communication with participants.
Adhering to the strict timelines outlined in promotion rules, the website's launch was paramount for the promotion's success. Our dedicated Umbraco Team met the deadlines and synchronized the website launch seamlessly with the start of the promotion, ensuring its uninterrupted progression.
The new microsite features a user-friendly dashboard, operates more efficiently than its predecessor, and is designed to remain future-proof with a well-defined update path for the years to come. The implementation of Umbraco also facilitates the effortless creation of multilingual versions of the website and enables the generation of reports spanning any period.
